Driver License Charges

One of the things we use every day, and many of us cannot go without, is our driver license.

There are a variety of criminal and quasi-criminal charges related to our driving privileges. Not paying tickets is a common way to have your license suspended. Also, if you have a been convicted of your first DUI, you can get a restricted license while you are on probation, but will not possess a full license.

If you are caught by the police driving with a suspended license, no license, or a revoked license, there are punishments. And like many crimes, the effects on your driving privileges get more and more severe.

Driving on a suspended and revoked license can actually result in losing years of driving privileges, and if you are currently on DUI probation or have lost your license due to vehicular assault or homicide charges, can require minimum time in jail. Second offenses become Class A misdemeanors, and if occurring while on DUI probation, can result in 45 days in jail.

If you are charged with a drivers license related crime, legal representation is a must.
